Medical Device Technology Forecasts

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) develops 10-year forecasts to identify emerging medical device technologies and products. The forecasting serves an important purpose: it helps CDRH and the medical device industry shape responses to the new scientific and regulatory challenges and opportunities of innovation.
