SSRIs During Pregnancy and Infant Mortality

In a population-based study of 5 Nordic countries, Stephansson and coauthors analyzed data from more than 1.6 million singleton births to determine whether women who had been treated with a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor before or during pregnancy were at risk of having stillbirths and whether their infants were at risk of death.

Effect of Maintenance Tocolysis With Nifedipine

In a double-blind placebo-controlled trial of 406 women with threatened preterm labor (26-32 weeks gestation) set in the Netherlands, Roos and colleagues assess the effects of maintenance tocolysis with nifedipine in reducing adverse perinatal outcomes.

Survival Comparison Among Patients With ICDs

    Fructose Consumption and Weight Gain

To study neurophysiological factors that might underlie associations between fructose consumption and weight gain, Page and coauthors assigned 20 healthy volunteers to undergo 2 magnetic resonance imaging sessions in conjunction with ingestion of glucose or fructose in a random-order crossover trial. Purnell and Fair provide comment in the related Editorial.

    All-Cause Mortality Using BMI Categories
