Speaker Biography: Sally Squires is former journalist for The Washington Post, where she wrote the nationally syndicated "Lean Plate Club" column on good health and nutrition, which reached more than 5 million readers. She also hosted the popular weekly "Lean Plate Club" online web chat at washingtonpost.com, and she wrote a weekly e-mail "Lean Plate Club" newsletter that had 250,000 subscribers throughout the world. Her articles have appeared in numerous national publications, including Reader's Digest and Parade. She is the first journalist to be named an Honorary Fellow of the Society for Public Health Education and is the recipient of the American Heart Association's Howard L. Lewis Lifetime Achievement Award.
