Lauer has been tentatively selected for the position of Director of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) extramural Division of Prevention and Population Sciences to provide leadership for the Institute's national program for population- and clinic-based research on the causes, prevention, and clinical care of cardiovascular, lung, and blood diseases. Have you ever wondered where to find help with preparing, submitting and managing a clinical research grant? The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute has created a new website which combines policies and procedures with practical guidance on grant application, review, funding and oversight. This is an excellent resource for the new investigator and provides easy access to specific information for the more experienced investigator. Please take a moment to visit the site and to share it with colleagues who may find it useful.
