About Summary

IBB’s rapidly growing, multi-media affiliate network offers vast audiences a wide range of program and content options that are placed by BBG’s marketing team.  Located in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, our team targets high impact affiliations with major television networks, prominent internet portals and local AM and FM stations.  Our affiliates provide prime time, U.S. international broadcasting live simulcasts and webstreams, as well as pre-recorded programming.  Affiliate agreements bring customer commitment, service and success, as we engage new broadcast partners and strengthen longstanding relationships.  Our media development team forges partnerships with U.S. government agencies, non-governmental organizations, foundations and commercial and public broadcasters to create programs that support democratic institutions, good governance, the free flow of information and the free enterprise system.  Contact us to learn more about becoming an affiliate.

Types of Relationships

TV/Video

Our  television programming reaches an estimated audience of 92 million people weekly, in significant markets.  Our audiences are up substantially in Iran, where more than 10 million people watch or hear BBG programs, and in other key countries including Libya, and Ethiopia.

Radio

Radio broadcasts reach more than 95 million people per week.  In FY 2012, we enhanced our distribution network, adding new FM transmitters in key cities in Libya and Afghanistan.

Web

Our Internet audience is between 12 and 13 million each week, with the largest measured in Iraq, at 2.7 million.  Increasingly, international media outlets are affiliating with us via VOA Direct, our online, audio/video digital distribution system that provides short form programming in multiple languages.  VOA Direct and our growing menu of publishing opportunities through affiliate partner web sites, blogs, social networks, mobile applications and distribution to emerging connected devices are helping BBG reach new audiences.
