Synopsis:
A federal indictment by the U.S. District Court in Seattle charged Grewal with conspiracy to export cocaine. The indictment was the result of an investigation that revealed that Grewal was employed by the Canadian Border Services Agency. Grewal allegedly allowed recreational vehicles to enter British Columbia from the United States through the Lynden/Aldergrove Port of Entry knowing that the vehicles contained smuggled cocaine. Grewal allegedly informed the smuggling organization when he was working and when it was clear to proceed into Canada with the smuggled cocaine. It is estimated that Grewal allowed more than 2,500 kilograms of cocaine to pass into Canada. Grewal was allegedly paid $50,000 per load and personally connected to more than 20 loads.
