MedlinePlus® Clinical Trials Information
MedlinePlus is a Web-based health information service of the National Library of Medicine. It explains health topics using language that is easy to understand. Visit the clinical trials page (also available in Spanish) or the interactive tutorial on clinical trials (also available in Spanish) to learn more about clinical research and find answers to common questions.
Children and Clinical Studies
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute provides information about pediatric studies (studies involving children) on its Children and Clinical Studies page.
Clinical Trials and Drug Development

Alzheimer's Disease

Cancer
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the U.S. government's principal agency for cancer research and training. Most other U.S. government agencies that conduct cancer research, such as the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, do so in partnership with NCI.

NCI's Clinical Trials Education Series page provides access to publications that help individuals and health care professionals understand clinical studies. These include self-paced workbooks, booklets, DVDs, slide programs on CD-ROM, and online training courses.
NCI's Understanding Cancer Series site contains graphics-rich tutorials for life science teachers, medical professionals, and the general public. Topics include the HPV vaccine, cancer and the environment, the cancer genome project, and more.
Staff members from FDA's Cancer Liaison Program, part of the Office of Special Health Issues, answer questions from cancer patients, their families, and patient advocates regarding cancer clinical studies and cancer drug development.

HIV/AIDS
AIDSinfo is a service of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that provides the latest federally approved information on HIV/AIDS clinical research, on treatment and prevention, and on medical practice guidelines for people living with HIV/AIDS, their families and friends, health care providers, scientists, and researchers. AIDSinfo also enables users to search ClinicalTrials.gov for HIV/AIDS-related clinical trials.
Mental Health
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Clinical Trials page helps users find research studies on mental health and disorders. NIMH's A Participant's Guide to Mental Health Clinical Research answers common questions from research study participants and potential participants.
