Life Stories: A Donor Continues to Touch People’s Lives

Johnny H. Brown Johnny H. Brown

Cornea and Tissue Donor: Inglewood, CA

On the day after his 38th birthday, Johnny H. Brown was senselessly shot as he walked up the driveway of a friend’s home. Johnny had been a Code Enforcement and Mobile Assistance Officer for the city of Inglewood, CA. He was always helping others and at the time of his death, caring for three young boys.

Staying true to his generous spirit, Johnny’s mother donated his corneas and tissue. She also produced a local cable TV program on violence in their community and possible solutions. Through these efforts, Johnny has touched many people’s lives long after his was taken.

Johnny’s story is courtesy of OneLegacy, Los Angeles, CA.

Staying true to his generous spirit, Johnny’s mother donated his corneas and tissue.
