Along with hundreds of USSTRATCOM personnel, SSgt Jeffery Hart is participating in the semi-annual Offutt AFB Cold Steel Challenge.

Hailing from Owensboro, Kentucky, SSgt Hart currently serves as a Knowledge Operations Manager in USSTRATCOM's J2 directorate.

He had the following to say about participating in the event:

Why are you participating in this year's Cold Steel Challenge?
I am participating because of the fitness challenge. I want to see how my physical activities, Crossfit specifically, measures up to other physical activities.
How has this challenge benefited you?
I participated last year so this is my second year doing this. Previously, it was the jump-start to my big fitness kick. I saw it as an opportunity to not only better myself, but to motivate others to do the same. The team aspect really provides that opportunity to motivate others.
What expectations do you have from this year's overhauled version of Cold Steel Challenge?
I think this year has a better scoring system - it's more even across the board. This is an excellent opportunity to improve the overall fitness of others, not only myself. With Cold Steel Challenge being a command endorsed program, it motivates STRATCOM personnel to get out of their offices and be more active.

This Cold Steel Challenge event ends March 31st, so get out there and get fit!
