DHS Cybersecurity & Communications Realignment
Thank you for visiting our website. Over the last month, the DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C) has initiated some structural changes. While these changes do not affect US-CERT's mission or operations, they do centralize all of CS&C's operational components within CS&C's National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC). US-CERT, the Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT), and the National Coordination Center (NCC) will now operate as the NCCIC.
These structural changes, while substantial, will have no impact on our users and partners. US-CERT continues in its mission to improve the nation's cybersecurity posture, coordinate cyber information sharing, and proactively manage cyber risks. The US-CERT.gov website will continue to offer resources for Home and Business, Government, and Control Systems users. You may still use our website to report incidents and to access the latest security publications. You will now also find additional resources related to NCCIC, ICS-CERT, and NCC operations on US-CERT.gov.
Ultimately, the new NCCIC structure incorporating the US-CERT, ICS-CERT, and NCC will improve our ability to fuse threat and vulnerability information from private sector, civilian, law enforcement, intelligence, and military cyber and communications communities. Working together, the components of the NCCIC will be able to apply unique analytical insight, share critical information effectively, and synchronize response efforts in both the cyber and communications domains.
