General Contact Guidelines

Please provide the relevant serial number or registration number, if existing, and your telephone number, so we can talk to you directly, if necessary.  Use the appropriate e-mail address, and do NOT send multiple e-mails on the same issue to different e-mail addresses.

General Trademark Information

E-mail TrademarkAssistanceCenter@uspto.gov or telephone 1-800-786-9199 (select option #1).  Telephone assistance is available Monday - Friday (except federal holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST. Walk-in assistance is available Monday through Friday (except federal holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.  NOTE: The Trademark Assistance Center can answer general questions about the trademark process or provide guidance on the type of information to include on a form.  For points of contact in specific areas, please review the list below. Please be aware that the USPTO cannot provide any sort of information in the nature of "legal advice."  For legal advice, please consider contacting an attorney who specializes in intellectual property.

Electronic Filing Help (Accessing or Using Electronic Forms)

Filing Applications electronically or using any TEAS electronic forms: E-mail TEAS@uspto.gov.  You will generally receive a response within two hours if you submit an e-mail Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST.

Filing Assignments electronically: E-mail  ETAS@uspto.gov.  You may also telephone the Assignment Services Division Customer Service Desk at 571-272-3350 Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST.

Making electronic submissions to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB): E-mail ESTTA@uspto.gov, and include any ESTTA tracking number.  You may also telephone the TTAB at 571-272-8500 Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST.

General technical support for the USPTO website is available Monday - Friday 5:30 a.m. - Midnight EST and Saturday - Sunday 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. EST.  Telephone 1-800-786-9199 (select option #3).

Corrections

To request correction of typographical mistakes entered by the USPTO that appear in the USPTO Trademark databases (TARR and TESS) for a particular application before publication: E-mail TMdatabasecorrect@uspto.gov
