Welcome to our web site.  I am Tom Leney, Executive Director of the Veterans and Small Business Programs for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  I oversee the work of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), which includes the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE).  Our goal is to help Veteran-Owned and Small businesses contribute most effectively to the important mission of VA.  This web site provides an overview of Small Business Programs, registration for upcoming conferences for small businesses, as well as program goals and accomplishments.  If you are interested in contracting with VA, please visit the links for Subcontracting and Forecast of Contracting Opportunities.  In addition, you will also find a number of useful links on our web site pertaining to Small Business participation in VA procurements.  For Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), be sure to carefully review the information about the Vendor Information Pages (www.VetBiz.gov) database and the Verification process, as you must be Verified in order to participate in procurements aimed at these groups.

OSDBU seeks to enable SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Businesses, and Woman-Owned Small Businesses to add value to the work of VA.  OSDBU provides outreach and liaison support to businesses (small and large) and other members of the public and private sectors concerning Small Business Acquisition issues.  OSDBU is responsible for monitoring VA implementation and execution of the socioeconomic programs.  Access the OSDBU contact information if you have questions regarding working with VA.

In order to take advantage of procurement preferences provided to Veteran-Owned and controlled Small Businesses, the business must be Verified as an eligible firm and be registered in the VIP database.  Information about the Verification program, administered by CVE, and instructions concerning how to become Verified at www.VetBiz.gov.  For questions regarding the VA VOSB Verification Program or the status of your Verification, please call (202) 618-3765.
