Welcome and thanks for visiting the website for the Senate Committee on Armed Services.
Our 26-member committee oversees our nation's common defense. Making sure our military can defend the nation against all potential threats is critically important but we are motivated by much more. We are dedicated to ensuring that the women and men of our military and Department of Defense civilians get the support they need. And because military families also serve their country in supporting their military members, we keep all of them in the forefront of our minds.
