Sen. Brown Announces New Federal Resources To Update SORTA Fleet In Cincinnati
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) will receive new federal resources to purchase buses that will replace those that have reached the end of their useful service life. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced today that a competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) FY 2012 State of Good Repair Project was awarded to SORTA, which will be used to purchase up to seven new, 40-foot buses- and to enhance SORTA public transit service.

Brown Announces Appointment Of Central Ohioan To Key Access Advisory Board
A Newark City Councilman was named to a key access advisory board. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that Marc D. Guthrie was appointed to serve on the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Access Board.
