Historical Data (2009)
In Fiscal Year 2009, Region 1 provided $599.7 million in federal funding, awarding 175 grants for a variety of activities including the purchase of buses and vans and the construction of critical infrastructure for bus and rail transit systems throughout New England. $384.4 million of this total was provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for high priority ready-to-go projects.
