The AMS Civil Rights Program  
The Civil Rights (CR) Program is responsible for ensuring Agency compliance with Federal statutes that prohibit discrimination in hiring, employment, and program delivery. The Civil Rights Program staff serve as principle advisors to the Administrator, and Agency senior staff on all civil rights issues. Employees also provide a variety of civil rights support services to the agency's eight commodity programs and their respective field offices. As required by EEO laws, rules, regulations, and directives, including those identified by the Department and the Civil Rights Action Team (CRAT) Report, the Civil Rights Program is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the following:

Agency-wide Civil Rights Programs and Functions  
  • Affirmative Employment
  • Special Emphasis Programs
  • Compliance (Title V and Title VII Reviews)
  • HBCU/HACU/1890 Initiatives
  • Program Delivery and Outreach
  • Complaints Management/EEO Counseling/Mediation
