Podcasts

What are podcasts?

Podcasts (a combination of the terms "iPod" and "broadcast") are audio or video files that you can listen to or watch on your computer or on a variety of portable media devices. They are usually short, often free, and usually a part of a series. You can subscribe to receive new podcasts automatically via your computer or other media device. You can also download from a website or a variety of podcast directories such as iTunes Exit Disclaimer or Zune Exit Disclaimer.

Podcasts are often an easy, inexpensive way to gather and provide information to your target audience(s). They also offer an audio alternative to text.
