OIG Hotline

Quick Links

The OIG operates a hotline to receive and process allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse concerning DOL grants, contracts, programs and operations. The OIG also addresses allegations of criminal activity and serious misconduct involving DOL employees. Moreover the OIG has jurisdiction to investigate allegations of labor racketeering and organized crime influence in the workplace, including the misuse of union benefit plan assets or power, labor-management relations, and internal union affairs.

You do not need to provide your name or any other identifying information in order to file a complaint with the OIG Hotline. However, we will not be able to contact you if we need to seek additional information about your complaint if you choose to remain anonymous.

Moreover, when you contact the OIG Hotline, please provide as much detailed information as possible concerning your allegations, including:

  • who is involved,
  • when the situation you are reporting took place and whether it is still ongoing,
  • where the situation occurred,
  • what happened that was inappropriate and prompted you to contact the OIG Hotline, and
  • how the situation took place.
