Is this why, they are installing cameras in trash cans in Florida schools, humas, sprouts, and all her so called healthy food, the kids are trashing, and not eating anything at all.stay out of Florida, and our schools, do this in Chicago, kids ate fatter there.
Have any of the supporters of this program actually tasted this food? It is absolutely terrible. Government demands no more than 850 calories per meal. How about this, Obama? What happens when the small meal eaten at 12:00, doesn't give me the energy required for football practice at 3:30? And, wheat tortilla shells? Seriously? That's suppose to taste -delicious-? Reduce the amount of meat and protein, and double fruits and vegetables? Yeah, that will give me the energy I need.
No! Kids shouldn't be forced to take PE everyday! In P.E. you always have to choose partners for every activity, that can be hell for some kids, expecially if they don't know anyone in that class period!!!
This is an assurance for parents that their children will be able to eat healthy and nutritious food at home. Busy parents who does not have time to prepare their children's lunch can be assured that their children can have access to good and nutritious food at school.
I'm all for getting fit and in shape, but when they tell me i can't have 3 slices of turkey on my wrap because the government tells them that, that's a little bit over the limit. If they want to force kids to do different things to get in shape, why not force them to play a sport or have gym class everyday? I don't see how taking cheese off of my burgers will change anything. These restrictions are over the top.
As a parent whose son eats a school lunch, I'm really glad that these changes are happening. I want to know that the school lunch reinforces what I want to teach him about eating well. Having more veggies and whole grains benefits all kids and this year I know my kid isn't going to have fried chicken nuggets for lunch. Thanks for helping make this a reality.
For many children in this country, school meals are the most nutritious and adequate meals they are going to have. I applaud the First Lady for making sure they are as healthy as possible. I support her efforts!

I second P.E. or sports for all kids, every day! Fund physical activity for all kids, pK-12.
