Student Veterans of America and Google are offering (8) $10,000 scholarships to student Veterans who are pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, or a closely related field. Apply by March 31.

VA Issues New Report on Suicide
VA released a comprehensive report on Veterans who die by suicide. The report will allow VA to improve its ability to target specific suicide interventions and outreach activities in order to reach Veterans proactively.
eBenefits New Functionality
The latest release of eBenefits allows for a fast and easy way to apply online for disability compensation, using interview-style questions similar to tax-preparation software. There are additional site improvements as well.
Tax Return Info for Veterans
The IRS works with community and government partners to provide timely federal tax-related information to Veterans about tax credits and benefits, free tax preparation, and asset-building opportunities.
Transition to Paperless Claims
The transition to paperless processing of Veterans' disability claims is underway. The Veterans Benefits Management System, an electronic claims processing system, is being implemented in all 56 regional offices.

New Compensation Rates
The Department of Veterans Affairs has published new Veterans Compensation Benefit Rate Tables. The new rates took effect on December 1, 2012.
