Thank you for your interest in visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum! The 13th Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the facility will open to the public in 2013 on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Library will operate an archives where researchers can access textual, audiovisual, and electronic Presidential records highlighting critical events and issues from the Administration of President George W. Bush. The Library is the repository for Presidential records received or created by the White House in the carrying out of constitutional and statutory duties. In addition to these materials, the Library houses the condolence mail received by the State Department following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and will eventually house donated collections and George W. Bush gubernatorial records.
We are incredibly excited about the Library and cannot wait to share it with researchers! As we get closer to opening, this page will feature information needed for making a research visit, including:
