    • I need your help. I am a Middle School Youth Minister in Perinton, NY. Our teens would like to send baked goods (brownies, cookies etc) to active duty men and women deployed overseas. I am having trouble finding out how to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Family Day is a semi-annual event when family members get a chance to visit the base during a unit training assembly and are treated to some entertaining activities to show appreciation for their sacrifice and support.

  4. Today, we honor and remember the the nearly 3,000 men, women and children killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93.

  5. On the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks, we'd like to highlight our New York National Guard members who have been on duty since that day.

    “We are a full-time, state active-duty force of 280 New Yorkers,” said Army Lt. Col. Peter Riley, the task force’s commander, New York Army National Guard. “(This force) was formed on 9/11 and has been here since.”

    Go LA National Guard! "We're here to support the civil authorities with security and engineering operations, as well as commodity distribution operations," said Maj. Marc Prymek, support operations officer with the 199th Brigade Support Battalion, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. "Our Soldiers are ready, trained and equipped for any possible task."
  28. "This has been an extremely challenging year, with several large fires and severe drought conditions," said Air Force Col. Jerry Champlin, Wyoming National Guard. "Our MAFFS aircrews and aircraft maintainers have been working long hours every day to help with the initial attack and suppression of several wildland fires throughout the Western region of the country."
  29. New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said about 1,000 Louisiana National Guard troops are positioned in New Orleans, working with police, firefighters and standing by for rescue operations.
