Decisions

You make hundreds of decisions every day. You decide what time to wake up. What to eat for breakfast. What to wear to school. Whether or not to finish your homework. All of these little decisions add up and can have a big impact on your day. If you wake up late, skip breakfast, and didn’t do your homework, chances are it’s going to be a rough morning!

Your decisions—good and bad—also affect your health. And the choices you make about your health add up over time.

One day you look up and wonder,
“How did I get here ?”

The decisions you make today about how you’re going to treat your body will stay with you for the rest of your life. For example, you probably chose to brush your teeth today. Maybe you brushed because you don’t want your breath to stink or don’t want your teeth to be yellow. The daily decision to brush your teeth adds up to a healthier mouth with fewer cavities, which means you are less likely to lose your teeth and need dentures. Yeah, dentures. Choices and decisions add up.

We each have our own decision-making style. Sometimes we make great choices, and other times our choices are harder to stand by. Knowing what type of decision maker you are can help you see what works and what doesn’t when you make your next decision.
