Notice regarding establishment of Fast Track Settlement Procedure for Vaccine Injury Cases
From time to time, the Office of Special Masters convenes attorneys who regularly appear in Vaccine Program cases to consider issues of mutual interest. As a result of such discussions, OSM has adopted a plan to promote settlement of certain cases on an accelerated basis. The goals of this Fast Track Settlement procedure are to provide guidelines to practitioners who wish to engage in settlement discussions and to streamline the process by which prompt settlements in vaccine injury cases may be achieved. Details of the new procedure are described below and will be included in the OSM Guidelines.
