Tillman Military Scholars

Education. Leadership. Service.

Apply to Become a Tillman Military Scholar today. The application closes on February 15, 2013.

The Tillman Military Scholars program supports our nation’s active and veteran servicemembers and their spouses by removing financial barriers to completing a degree program of choice. The scholarship funds cover not only direct study-related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs, including housing and child care.

Since the program’s inception, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested over $3.2 million in financial support to 230 Scholars. These scholarship funds are just a portion of the Tillman Military Scholar experience which also focuses on guiding an engaged community and providing essential resources that empower Scholars to serve and lead in their local communities and ease the transition from military to civilian life.

Each year, new Tillman Military Scholars join Current and Network Tillman Military Scholars both online and in-person at the annual Pat Tillman Leadership Summit and subsequent TMS Regional Gatherings and partner events throughout the U.S., as well as, at Pat’s Run each April.

A number of Tillman Military Scholars is selected in cooperation with 16 University Partner institutions leading the way in innovative veterans support services on their campuses. These partners include: Arizona State University, Columbia University, Eastern Kentucky University, George Washington University, Mississippi State University, Texas A&M University, University of Alabama, University of Arizona, University of Arkansas, University of Maryland, University of Michigan – Flint, University of Minnesota, University of Oregon, University of South Florida, University of Washington and University of Wyoming.
