Enrollment

All Americans residing in or visiting Mauritania are urged to enroll with the Embassy. Enrollment is important so we can best serve your needs, particularly in the event of an emergency. Your registration file provides a permanent record of citizenship that would allow us to quickly replace your passport should it become lost or stolen. In the event of an emergency, the U.S. contact information you provide could save valuable time connecting you with the people and resources you might need.

Online Registration

The Department of State’s secure Internet-based travel registration site allows you to register and update your contact information on the Internet at any time, making it easier for you to keep your information current. The site also provides up-to-date travel information. The data you provide is secured behind Department of State firewalls, accessed only by cleared personnel in Embassies, Consulates and the Department of State, and releasable only under the provisions of the Privacy Act. The information you provide in your registration is protected from disclosure under the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974. No information on an individual will be released without the specific authorization of that person.
