Our most important responsibility is the protection of American citizens travelling or living abroad. We can assist in many ways when an American is arrested, stranded, in need of medical referral, or otherwise in need of assistance.
If there is a life threatening emergency involving an American citizen after hours, you may call (99412) 498-03-35/6/7 and ask for the Duty Officer.
