Notaries

Consistent with U.S. law and State Department policy, U.S. Consular Officers may provide specific notarial services for any person regardless of nationality so long as the document being notarized is required for use within the jurisdiction of the United States.

We process requests for notarial services between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., every Monday and Thursday, except U.S. and Mongolian holidays. Starting 1 September, 2011, services are being provided by appointment only. To make an appointment please visit the U.S. Citizens Services Appointment System.

The current fee for a notarial service is $50.00 (effective July 13, 2010). Each additional notarial service provided at the same time in connection with the same transaction is $50.00. Fees must be paid in cash (U.S. dollars or Mongolian tugrugs - the payment must be made either in U.S. dollars, or in tugrugs. No combination of currencies will be accepted.
