Under Secretary Tara Sonenshine Visits BiH

Under Secretary Tara Sonenshine and Ambassador Patrick S. Moon

The State Department's Under Secretary for Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy Tara Sonenshine visited BiH November 27-28 to meet with activists, government officials, students, media, and others.

During the visit Under Secretary Sonenshine led a ceremony at the Embassy where we dedicated our conference room and Information Resource Center in honor of Doctor Joe Kruzel and Colonel Nelson Drew, who, along with Ambassador Robert Frasure and French Corporal Stefan Raoult, died tragically on the Mount Igman road in 1995, during the siege of Sarajevo. They lost their lives for the cause of peace, stability, and prosperity in Bosnia and Herzegovina – goals the United States continues to work for today in BiH.
