Tim Cox is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. Mr. Cox joined USAID's Office of Inspector General in 1984 and he currently serves as the Assistant Inspector General for Audit. Previously, he served as the Director of the OIG Country Office in Afghanistan, Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit, Regional Inspector General in El Salvador, and Director of the Headquarters Liasion and Coordination Division, among other positions overseas and in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining USAID, Mr. Cox served with the Government Accountability Office, where he performed audits and evaluations in the Information Management and Technology Division and the Washington Regional Office.

Mr. Cox has a BA in political science from Earlham College and an MS in applied economics from the University of Strathclyde. He holds a CPA license in Montana.
