Directions

The nearest metro station is "Barrikadnaya" (1) or "Krasnopresnenskaya" (2). You have to walk towards "Sadovoye Koltso" highway (3) and turn to the right. The Embassy building (5) is next to the Shalyapin museum (4) (see map above).

Please enter through the archway and look for the red sign indicating "U.S. Citizens".

Appointment System for American Citizen Services

The U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok has introduced an Appointment System for all services, including passport renewals (and passport extra pages), birth registrations, notarial services, adoption pre-processing interview and general inquiries. Please make your appointment before you visit the Consular section. Appointments may be made at any time via the link below. The Consular Agency in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Since March 2006, a U.S. Consular Agency has been operating in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on Sakhalin Island. The consular agent is supervised by the Consulate General in Vladivostok. Applications for passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad accepted by the consular agent are forwarded to the Consulate General for adjudication and document printing.

The Consular agent also provides immediate assistance for Americans in distress on Sakhalin Island and supplements the efforts of the Consulate General to provide help in these cases.

  • Act as an agent or attorney on behalf of a U.S. citizen in a private legal dispute abroad, but may make inquiries about the dispute
  • Accept visa applications
