    Ystad is making its port "greener"

    The port in Ystad, one of Sweden’s largest passenger ports, is reducing its emissions. Earlier, vessels berthing at the port kept their diesel engines running to generate power. Since the port is very close to the city center, noise from the diesel engines has always been an issue. Smell and emissions have been an even greater concern.

    On March 8, the U.S. Embassy in Sweden will host an exclusive screening of the documentary 'Chasing Ice' in Stockholm. The event is organized in collaboration with WWF. 'Chasing Ice' has won 23 awards at film festivals around the world. For a chance to attend the event, send two sentences to saga@state.gov explaining why you would like to attend the screening. The winners will be announced on March 4 by email.
