Veterinarians are already required to notify clients that they may fill prescriptions at the pharmacy of their choice. Redundant legislation is not needed. New laws are obviously beneficial to large pharmacies who can already purchase drugs cheaper than can the professionals needed to prescribe them. Veterinary hospitals work with small profit margins. Do not injure small business by passing new laws geared to benefit large pharmacies who already have a greater profit than veterinary hospitals. Finally, it is medically irresponsible to fill a prescription at a veterinary hospital AND send a written prescription, effectively granting a client permission to diagnose and treat a perceived similar condition in the future. Do not pass laws to hurt prescribing professionals. Pharmacies NEED US to function.
