Clients and human pharmacists do not understand the side effects, dosing, and uses of medications in animals. There needs to be additional regualtions on pharmacies before we are required to send our clients out into an enviroment of product misinformation. Human pharmacists are not trained in animal medicine, and are therefore not able to provide our clients with accurate information regarding the drugs. The FDA produced a great brochure to help educate the public on choosing a pharmacy for their pet's medications. These guidelines should be requirements for the pharmacies.
