Submission Text
I recommend that used car dealers perform prudent checks of a vehicle's background and provide results to customers rather than proclaiming ignorance in a caveat emptor dismissal. Services such as CARFAX are easily available and should be mandated as way to protect consumers/tax payers from under-handed pratices that have become all too cliche when speaking of used car dealers. It is not overly burdensome or onerous to expect used car dealers to provide this minimum up front information when it is so available.
