As a part of its market research/industry outreach, the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC http://nitaac.nih.gov/nitaac/) is seeking input from industry for a new contracting vehicle, temporarily titled "Chief Information Officer - NEW (CIO-NEW)". NITAAC plans for the CIO-NEW contract to complement its soon to be awarded "Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3)" contract.

NITAAC is seeking the perspective of industry on the CIO-NEW Scope and Award Concepts to refine and improve concepts with the appropriate criteria that will result in best value to the government, an effective procurement, and balance between large and small businesses. Your comments will be used in defining that approach.

Vendors are encouraged but are not required to comment on all of the question in the attached document. Please submit any/all reponds, questions or comments to CIO.CSS@nih.gov.

NITAAC plans for the CIO-NEW contract to complement its soon to be awarded "Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3)" contract. As of 29 February, NITAAC has finished the first phase of information collection, but NITAAC will continue to consider additional industry perspectives and comments on the CIO-NEW. Your input will be used in defining the program.

Vendors are encouraged but are not required to comment based on the question in the attached document titled FBO_Special_Notice_-_Vendor_Collaboration_2-6-2012.docx. Responses to the questions received so far are posted in the attached document titled FBO_Initial_Questions.docx. Please submit any/all additional responses, questions or comments to CIO.CSS@nih.gov. This notice will remain active until 27 March 2012.
