Hurricane Rick October 17, 2009

This image taken by the GOES-12 satellite on Saturday, October 17 shows Rick as a Category Five hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 180 mph. With these winds Rick became the second most powerful hurricane on record in the Eastern Pacific behind Hurricane Linda in 1997. The high resolution version of this image prints 8" width by 10" height at 300 dpi.
