Apr 23, 2010 | Global Temperature Anomaly Analysis - April 2010 | The global temperature during March 2010 was the warmest on record. Shown here are the global land and ocean surface temperature anomalies. Red depicts areas warmer than the historical average; blue areas are cooler than the historical average (using a 1971-2000 base period). The Southeast U.S. was still predominantly cooler than average, but warm anomalies were seen in northern and western regions of the country. Additionally, large positive temperature anomalies were seen across Western Europe, Asia, and Africa, and South America.
