Acute Health Effects: From MSDS:ROUTE OF ENTRY: Skin Contact; Eye Contact; Inhalation Acute; Ingestion EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE TO MATERIAL: Vapors may cause irritation to the nose, throat, and respiratory tract. Repeated or prolonged exposure to concentrations above the Exposure Limit may cause central nervous system depression ( e.g., dizziness, weakness, nausea, headaches, and/or unconsciousness). May cause eye irritation. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may cause irritation. Ingestion may result in gastrointestinal irritation. Not a sensitizer. Not teratogenic or embryotoxic. Not a reproductive toxicant. Not mutagenic.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS: Solvents similar to those in this product have caused adverse kidney effects in male rats after prolonged and repeated inhalation exposure. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational exposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage.
Carcinogenicity: Not a carcinogen.
First Aid: EYE CONTACT: If splashed in eyes, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, call a physician. SKIN CONTACT: If splashed on skin, flush thoroughly with water. INGESTION: If swallowed, drink a glassful of water. Call a physician or poison control center.INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing problems develop, call a physician.
