Dianne Heffron is the Director of the Financial Management Group in the Center for Medicaid and State Operations since October 2009. As Director of FMG, Dianne is responsible to the overall financial management of the over $400 billion federal Medicaid program through oversight of federal Medicaid grant outlays, state budget and expenditure reporting, national Medicaid reimbursement and state financing policy, and other CMS activities to promote the fiscal integrity of the Medicaid program. Prior to her position in FMG, she served as the Acting Director of the Families and Children’s Health Programs Group since August 2008. 

Dianne has been with the Agency since 2002 in various Medicaid policy roles including Director of the Division of Reimbursement and State Finance. Prior to her work with CMS, she held strategic planning and business development positions with the National Association of Community Health Centers and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dianne has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University.
