Elaine M. Olin is the Director of the Data and Systems Group in the Center for Medicaid, CHIP and Survey and Certification at CMS. Elaine started her career as a licensed Social Worker at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Since 1983, as a federal employee at the Social Security Administration and CMS she has served in a variety of technical/leadership positions responsible for  the design, development, implementation, maintenance and operation of large-scale, enterprise-wide IT systems supporting Medicare/Medicaid beneficiary enrollment, claims/drug processing, health/drug plan payment, identity management, patient assessments, and reporting. Elaine is a graduate of Marywood University and a Certified Project Management Professional.
