Dissemination of Cancer Treatment

The most favorable outcomes for cancer patients can be achieved only when cancer treatments of proven efficacy are effectively delivered in the general community. The Applied Research Program's Health Services and Economics Branch supports efforts to monitor patterns of treatment dissemination through Patterns of Care/Quality of Care Studies and the SEER-Medicare Linked Database. Another effort that contributes knowledge to this area is the Cancer Care Outcomes Research and Surveillance Consortium (CanCORS), which is supported by ARP's Outcomes Research Branch.
