The President's Management Agenda (PMA) demands that agencies pursue each of the PMA's Government-wide initiatives as an integrated whole in achieving performance and cost improvements.

The Department of State is focused on using Commercial Services Management as a management tool, not just as an operational or tactical intervention. Commercial Services Management represents an opportunity to take a strategic, zero-based approach and rethink the entire sourcing model to ensure that the Department is building a more customer-centric, performance based operating structure that is better suited for tomorrow's realities.
