Organizational Development: Design, define, develop and create world-class HR/FM organizations relevant to the National Military Strategy (NMS) that are technologically enhanced, efficient, modular, rapidly deployable, flexible, and mission oriented. Implement the approval and resourcing of these designs through the Army's force development processes

The United States Soldier Support Institute Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (CDID) was developed to support the Adjutant General and Financial Management Schools for Requirements Documentation, Force Development and Design, Concepts and Doctrine Development. CDID was created by combining the Combat Development organizations from both schools. CDID concentrate on five key areas and they are:
Support the Joint / Multi-National Force Commander anywhere in the world against any financial management (FM) and/or human resources (HR) challenges by identifying, designing, and integrating comprehensive FM and HR solutions for the Army Modular Force and Future Combat Force
Develop and modify FM and HR modular doctrine, concepts, and capabilities through lessons learned to increase the readiness and relevance of our Expeditionary Army
Build an integrated, cohesive team of FM and HR experts from across all Army Components to define, develop, and implement FM and HR strategies.
Support the development, implementation, and fielding of GFEBS and DIMHRS from an operational and tactical perspective.
Effectively represent the SSI Commander and School Commandants by addressing doctrine and concepts, force structure, force modernization in Army and Joint forums.
The Lessons Learned Division (L2D) mission is to create an information sharing culture within the Army in which every Soldier, regardless of rank, is a collector of positive (sustain) and negative (improve or change) information. Soldiers have an opportunity and responsibility to submit both types of information through their chain of command. HR professionals must keep in mind that Observations and Insights do not become a Lesson Learned until behavior has changed, usually through such mediums as policy, doctrine, etc. The L2D has several methods to collect relevant OILs from the field (i.e. Coordinate for an organizational visit to the SSI, Review sample OIL inputs or L2D On-site visit). Our efforts will ensure we properly conduct and analyze all information provided and further submit to SSI directorates for their involvement on researching and making appropriate changes to DOTMLPF, if applicable. The ultimate goal of L2D is to assist HR organizations in accomplishing their missions with proven successes or avoid similar difficulties.
