United States Virtual Presence Post Zanzibar, Tanzania

The Virtual Presence Post-Zanzibar is a U.S. Government website that it is meant to focus exclusively on the isles as it highlights the strong, and long, relationship we have with Zanzibar.

As we haven't had a formal diplomatic presence on the islands since the closure of the Consulate in 1979, we are looking to reach out to the nearly 1 million Zanzibaris virtually. We have two American Corners (one located at the State University of Zanzibar in Unguja; the second recently opened at the Chake Chake Library on Pemba), and have several programs in Zanzibar.
