Introduction

U.S. Embassy Ashgabat’s Economic-Commercial Section provides assistance to U.S. companies interested in doing business in Turkmenistan. Copies of the 2013 Investment Climate Statement (pdf, 175 kb) and the Doing Business in Turkmenistan Country Commercial Guide (pdf, 686) are provided as PDF documents to the public free of charge. For companies new to Turkmenistan’s emerging markets and business climate, these documents can be particularly helpful. In addition, there are for-fee business facilitation services available to U.S. companies which include: assistance in requesting letters of invitation from the Government of Turkmenistan, assistance in forwarding official correspondence to the Turkmen government, requesting meetings with government officials, logistical support, company matching, and company profile reports.
