    Biden to Meet Syrian Opposition in Germany

    The highest-level meetings to date between U.S. officials and the Syrian opposition will take place in Germany, U.S. Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford told Al-Hurra TV. The meetings, Ford said, are a sign of the growing relationship between the U.S. and the Syrian opposition.

Emergency Student Fund

  • In February, the Institute of International Education (IIE) created an Emergency Student Fund and later awarded a total of $92,000 to Syrian students studying in the United States. Thanks to these grants, 46 Syrian students were able to continue their studies, and several were able to graduate in May, as planned.
