Searching Health Hotlines


How the Database is Organized:

The Health Hotlines database is organized into sections called "fields." "Organization Name," "City," "State," etc., are each separate fields. Together, these fields make up the full description of each organization in the database; this is called a "record." Your search results will be made up of database records that match your search question.

Searching Options:

Choose a Term from the Subject List
  • When you choose this option, you will be searching using a word(s) that describes the major focus of the organization.

Search Records by Key Word or Field

  • When you choose this option, you can search Health Hotlines by typing in a word(s) you think would appear in the name of an organization or a word(s) that describes your question, such as the name of a disease or condition.
