Integrated Time and Attendance System (ITAS) at NIH

Overview

ITAS is a Timekeeping by Exception system. That means that as an Employee, once you have been set up in the system and do not use leave or earn premium pay, you really don’t have to do anything other than Sign In and Out (if required) and Verify your timecard (if required) at the end of each pay period.  You can request your own leave and if you have Telework eligibility, you can request changes to your tour and/or do Telework Change requests. If you have Timekeeper or Administrative Officer access in ITAS, you can act on behalf of an employee and create leave requests, update profiles, add premium pay to timecards, process other actions and download reports, appropriate to your access.  If your access is that of Leave Approving Official (LAO), your functions including approving/denying leave requests, approving/denying Telework requests, reviewing and approving timecards and downloading reports.
