Simplified Acq. & Delegated Procurement (NBS)

Description

NIH-Simplified Acquisitions and Delegated Procurement (NBS) Training is a mandatory course for all prospective NBS Buyers or Approvers creating orders for goods/services up to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold ($100,000.00). The course identifies responsibilities for NBS Buyers or Approvers creating or approving NBS awards including Purchase Orders, BPA calls or Task/Delivery orders. A final exam is administered at the end of the course. The course introduces Simplified Acquisition policy and procedure and combines lecture and hands-on exercises using the NIH PRISM Training Instance. Students will create and modify PRISM awards. This class is mandatory for all prospective NBS Buyers and Approvers who have not completed the previously-required Delegated Acquisition Training program (DELPRO) and is NOT an NBS-only class for those who desire additional practice with the NBS.
